Here is a quick review of the Razor Blade pro 17 inch, which is their biggest and most expensive laptop, this is not cheap by all means, it cost $2,499.99 for the base model. But it’s kind of expecting due to the turns of high-end hardware that you get to be working with, is reasonable at least to those that have bigger wallet and want to experience the powerfulness of this BEAST. and yes, it is THIN…
Performance on this machine is awesome as you would expect, is running the latest and greatest 9th gen CPUs, RTX GPUs, etc. both gaming and video editing is fantastic you can’t go wrong with this device. Considering the fact that this device is running all the best hardware available in the market the thermal performance will blow your mind away, and this is made possible by the inclusion of extra pairs of fan at the front of the device,
this fan suck away the air from the bottom of the laptop and blow it through the device across all the component, Another genius approach of Razor in the quest to manage the thermal, is on the cover,
they put in some path to direct the air flow across the rest of the device to best manage the heat generated by this device. And because of the amazing stuff they did with the cooling system some professional/reviewer like Dave2D think that, Razor can be able to put 8 core cpu in to this laptop, he believes that the cooling system is strong enough to handle that much.
Screen is 17 inch which is big, in terms of image quality is similar to the 15inch panel considering the brightness and color accuracy, is a great screen and is fast at 144hz but again is not different from the 15inch panel only bigger, and I think gamers and videographer (video editing) will enjoy most.
One of the down sides of this laptop is the small battery 70-watt hr. battery which is small consider the 15-inch razor blade has 80-watt hr. battery the battery life is actually small as it is less than 3 hrs.
The keyboard and the track pad is similar to that of the 15-inch razor blade all the RGB lighting. The keyboard keystrokes are a little bit shallow.
The speakers have improved in wider range of audio compare to the 15-inch blade that sound good already.
Windows hello camera on top for those interested, you can log in to your device using facial recognition.
